Actually I was funnin' Judy. You and I have plain old rackets, but she uses a 'racquet' because she has a show dog because she feeds tripe...
Do you think I've had enough coffee?

My dogs favorites are the Orbee Ball http://www.leerburg.com/788.htm
and the Jolly Ball
http://www.leerburg.com/730.htm
But what he likes most of all are bubbles. He jumps all around and chomps them out of the air. I need to get one of those machines that blows them out continuously so I can get some rest!

It is just that the launcher works SO well when I need to wear a dog out somewhat.
I totally agree, but I use a lacrosse stick and lacrosse balls instead. I can throw a hard rubber lacrosse ball MUCH father than I can a tennis ball, and it doesn't have the negatives associated with the tennis ball. They're hard, just like the Kong ball, and a fraction of the price. You can get various different colors on eBay real cheap. I also got a used lacrosse stick on eBay. If you don't want a full-size stick, even the mini lacrosse sticks work fine.

Jan,
Hey, are you crazy? I got that racquet at Bijan's...I don't do Bloomingdales .
FYI, in case you're wondering about Bijan's, google it with Rodeo Drive

The balls are all fine, and I do love a kong, but when my arm gets tired I just get out the flashlight. I flash it around on the ground and up the walls and my GSD is determined to get it. He will chase the light as long as I will flash it. It is a riot to watch. Of course, after we play "light" for awhile, I have to get the kong back out so he can actually catch something LOL.

What a great idea. I just came in from another session with the beast . Why does he never get tired? I'm trying your idea Mark. I know dogs can get weired out by a laser but the flashlight thing would be a good break once in a while.

Kong, and he loves this old orange lacrosse ball too. That thing is dangerous, it is hard, and heavy, but bounces forever and has been undestructable. Now he does have this one rubber squeeky toy that costed like $1.30, It is a little orange fellow, sitting with rubber spikes sticking out of his head, and huge feet, now THAT thing has lasted for well over 18 months, still squeeks, and he carries it around, won't share it with other dogs, will put it away on his bed, and sleeps with it. LOL!
I can load the kong with peanut butter, drop it on the floor, pick up this "oobie" character, and he will walk away from the kong to see just where I'm going with the "oobie".
