Jason, A lot of reputable people offer adult dogs of primarily working lines, but they also offer some show line adult dogs. There are a lot of people who cannot handle a working line dog, but want a good dog. Reputable importers look long & hard for dogs that will suit different people. Also, these types of dogs can generate a lot of income for a kennel.
I sure agree with you about the yucky food, though!

But I did find one positive thing. If you go to his link page he has a link to Leerburg Video & Kennel
LOL - They apparently have a few redeeming qualities - Too bad they don't follow Ed's advice regarding diet and vaccination.

I like breeders who concentrate on one line.It reminds me too much on breeders that sell 5 different breeds, that's when you know that their breeding is focued on $$$$$$
A breeder that breeds one specific line, will most likely concentrate on producing the best of that line, focus on that type of dog , does his homework ect... But when a breeder starts to add other lines to his kennels IMO starts to lack in one.Breeders I have talked to in the past that breed both had less to say about either than the ones that focus on one.I am not talking about breeders that have 2 different breeds , but different lines of the same breed (clear cut show/ working)

OMG I got this kennel confused with the adult imports for sale on the Old Farm Shephards kennel website!!! Talk about your senior moments. I better put all sharp instruments away before I do something even stupider like running with scissors.
Anyway, I was speaking of dogs they bring for sale, not to be part of their breeding program.

Under certain circumstances I don't see a problem with a child taking a bite on a sleeve from an easy dog with zero impact perhaps with an adult standing behind the child just to make sure nothing goes wrong. Kids want to join in with what their parents do, so giving them a controlled experience is no big deal, bitework is pretty much zero risk if you know the dog and the handler is competent, I was less worried about that than some of the other stuff I saw on the site. I've known alot of people to let their kids try it, but the dog is brought to them so there's no impact n the dogs used are always very easy very sleeve oriented low intensity dogs.
Thank you for the explanation and to be honest, that makes sense to me. Maybe it is the sloppiness? (for lack of a better word) that made me wonder about that.
Personally I think the child would have to be pretty responsible in order for me to feel confident that if the parents were not around, the kid would not take his friends out and try and show them what he knows.
As far as the site as a whole I was not impressed, but there are good and bad things on every site.

from what little i know about bloodlines, both sire and dam have some nice ones. however, the bitch just now turned 2 yrs old--have her hips beed x-rayed? if so, what results? same for the sire--has he been OFA'd?
from what will, mike, angelique, susan, etc. said from looking at the website (i didn't), i'd still be WAY leery of this outfit. there's better ones out there that ARE ethical. JMO

Kameron,
Titles mean nothing, look at the whole picture, comments & advice people have given you,you asked what we thought yet you still entertain the thought of byuing from that kennel? if that is not enough to give you doubt, I don't know why you bother to ask?.If you are so stuck on that kennel than go buy one.You get what you pay for...
I mean this in a friendly way , don't take it the wrong way
There are far better breeders out there, nice kennels , better dogs.I guarantee it.A dog that has a good pedigree but comes from a questionable kennel should be avoided.Simple.At the end you do what you want , just notice the flags...I really wish you the best
