Thanks Scott for the pics of Catos half brother!!! Love the dark sable look...will totally keep you updated.
As for pointy ears, someone else commented on those ears today, being surprised they were standing so early. They have been standing since the day I got him, so will see if they hold out during teething.
One of my trainers met Cato for the first time tonight and believes this puppy shows a lot of confidence, it is so true, I thought so too, so did Jason, but to have it confirmed by someone fairly objective (also who has a wealth of experience) really made me smile. He is a great puppy showing a lot of promise. Much excitement in our lives.
As for toys and keeping them picked up, well, I do that, however, I have a 3 year old son who at times lacks the "pick toys up" gene. Cato discovered a lil easter duck that squawked and quacked and I swear, the manufacturer must have coated that thing in duck juice. Cato fell in love with the toy and did not want to give it up for NOTHING. Wow. I thought I saw a lil defense!!!

NO FEAR!
Betty, do you have any links to Princess Weasel? I'd love to see more 1/2 siblings.

I might have a picture or two <cough> I can drum up and mail you. Have one when she was a wee little shaver on my web page.
Will be updating her pics after the May Workshop with Claudia. Wish I had one of her first attempt on the wall from this weekend. That was a hoot!

I spoke too soon about those lil ears standing so pointy and pretty--today, the left ear was flopping over a bit. He was tired, and the ears both came up later as he woke up...I expect they will flop up and down as he grows up to 6 months or so?
I am too lazy (or just plain don't have lots of extra time right now) to search, so will just ask, if the ears stand full when pups is it likely they will stand later even after being floppy for awhile? Or is there still a possibility for them to fall? (Assuming no injuries, etc.)

I can give you my experience with my two. My female's ear went up and down until she was 6 or 7 months old. My male's ears popped up at 8 weeks and have never fallen.

Hi Michele,
Both my new ones had erect ears when they came home Monday and I notice that when they are tired they flop a bit also. But as soon as they wake up, they are back up again.

Hahaaa and yes on the slippers ears. I decided I liked them too much to let the pup play too much==besides, I heard pups will get all "doggy" if playing too much with other pups/dogs...
He has done a number on the baby Easter stffed duck, so be it...thankfully, his other toys are durable and strong.
