I don't recall any of that being in the video but I do remember a discusion about using a longer line on the toy so you can keep tension on it in order to keep the dog from mouthing the toy; however it does sound like a viable option to use if mecessary.
No, its not in the video. It's a slight variation (or addition, if you will) on my part gained from my experiences. I personally don't have the need to deviate (or assume I know better than Bernard) from the DVD. When I'm teaching newbies I have to do damage control and that is one of the tools I use to make sure the student succeeds. This is why I love this forum. So many great and different ideas to utilize and further my education. Everybody brings something to the table.
