I don't care if it says "uncooked." What color is it, Rick? Green tripe is greenish nasty brown, and there ain't a snowball's chance in hell that it's in any grocery store!
Eeeeeewwwwwww! This stuff is grey. Not green or brown!
Price sounds ok for Bravo; which kind?
Which kind? What do you mean?
P.S. I'm on the phone to Slave*mart right now...

Bravo comes in different kinds...turkey,chicken, beef, etc. I use the chicken for my cats and my Chi, and puppies. LOOOOVE it. Has so many fewer ingredients in it than any other "pre-made" raw diets. Just meat, bone, organs, and a few veggies. Everyone does awesome on it, and it's not badly priced. I buy the 10lb packages and I think I pay about $1.50/lb.

Oh! I was just asking the guy about the tripe, but after talking to him, I am definately going to visit his store! So, I will check this stuff out, and consider it, as cutting apart the chicken and touching all the nasty stuff is time consuming and gross! I have no problem doing it though!
Wally world meat man told me the tripe they have now is beef and it is cleaned. This is the white stuff. He told me that sometimes he carries the uncooked, uncleaned beef tripe, which is what I have. However, this tripe comes from cows that are fed corn. So, there is a difference in the two tripes right off the bat because cows are not designed to eat corn, rather they are supposed to graze on grass.
But is tripe going give Robin's dog that badunka-dunk butt that she wants?

Rick,
The green tripe you feed to dogs would never ever be sold in a grocery store. It smells like sun-ripened cow $hit (and looks like $hit) and is nothing anyone in their right mind would consider eating.
My dog was on the Bravo diet...he didn't love it but he's a freak. I loved those 10lb chubs and thought it was a great diet.

Exactly. It's illegal to sell untreated green tripe for human consumption. When I get mine, it has to be picked up in big buckets labeled "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION" or they wouldn't let me have it.
If you take a nice deep whiff of green tripe and it doesn't make you puke, then it ain't the good stuff

Robbin,
I've told you that dog looks skinny! So when did you start listening to me? Here's how to get some weight on that poor starved critter: feed him exactly the same as you are now, only stop working him sooooooo hard, let him lounge on the couch watching Leerburg videos of ob. lessons. Stop with the weighted vests already and no more long walks or running, it'll be okay for him to watch the dog whisperer for a while.
Don't worry, after 6 or 7 weeks of this regimen he'll fill out and look like a real show dog! You'll be so proud walking down the street and everybody can fond over him with what a great looking dog he is!
Never mind all these other no nothing posts. Stick with me, we'll get your dog looking just like you want him to.
Or you can wait for about 2 more years.
Randy

because cows are not designed to eat corn,
Okay, the more I think about this, the more it bothers me....probably shouldn't say anything, but I work around cows......
This statement is untrue.
Plus the fact that all kinds of wild game that we feed to dogs eat out of the cornfields as well.......

I was thinking of naming my next dog Kau. Kauen is german for the verb "to chew".
Will he eat corn? By proxy, maybe.
