that makes sense. would you say that a big part of it (as connie suggested, and this is what i was wondering) is that most dogs live w/people who don't know how or aren't good at instituting pack structure?
Yes, I think the inconsistency that humans show to dogs and the fact that we act and react in vastly different ways, and communicate in drastically different ways, effects a dog's nerves/comfort level. If a dog is not sure exactly how their human is going to react to something, they are going to be nervous and unsure, uncomfortable.
Lack of leadership or inconsistent leadership and lack of structure, etc. also effects this as a soft dog that is not naturally dominant, that ends up dominant by way of having a very naive ignorant owner, will half the time be corrected and aggressed upon by an angry owner, and half the time ignored and allowed to continue with dominant behaviors.
You are very welcome! I am glad it is helpful, though not finished yet. I will be adding more pictures tomorrow and Thursday, it's just time consuming looking page by page at 9 different books, then scanning them, resizing them, referencing the books to give credit, and then adding the descriptions.
Oh wait, the other one is not there....hmmmmm
I got the one I have on a LB Auction out of Ed's personal library. I wonder why they are not selling that one anymore?
Well, the book above is great as well. Just as good as the other, if not better.
Until The Tale of the Lioness is told, the Story will Always Glorfy the Hunter

OK. I'm gettin' that.... as soon as the Leerburg GCs start rollin' in from my family ....
I don't know what is going on but I got up this morning and all my work .. is gone! The pictures and information were somehow removed from my website.
I am going to have to put everything back up when I get the time, this will delay the rest of the picts and information (which I have selected over 20 more pictures)
Did anybody by chance decide to print out or save the text/information from that page? I hadn't backed up the info yet!
Argh. I'm so mad!
