I did call I asked them if I could foster them and find homes even they said there will be a 72 hour hold and then they would have to go to court.
So I called they have not come yet no one knows about the other three.
I did not even tell animal control.
So you called the shelter? And they told you about the 72 hour hold and going to court? Does the shelter actually have the power to seize animals? I could be wrong, but I thought only animal control could do that, and if that's the case, they should be called.

*Sorry, you posted while I was typing - sounds like you DID call animal control. Good.

Sorry yes the shelter is the animal control shelter I live in a small town right now.
They have come and I went to look at mom and the puppy when they got her in the car.
None of the puppys have flea the puppy already had fleas on her.
I asked him what can I do he took my number and said that he will call me tomorrow.
She signed the mom and pup over. I told him I hjabe her meds and he took them with him. I gave him all the directions the vet gave me at least for the next 24 hours.
He said the mom and puppy will stay in his office so he can limit there exposer. To other animals.
He said that he has a kennel in his office.
So hopefully I will get them back tomorrow.
The dog had no tags and my name was on her vet paper work so it will be easier for me to get them he said

Stephanie,
I wanted to add that I think you are a great person for doing things like this. I commend you and think you did a great job.
I apologize for not saying that in my earlier post.

Stephanie, that's great news. Excellent job both taking care of this dog as she had her pups, helping the little ones enter this world with good food and attentive care, and finally taking steps to ensure that ALL these animals will find new homes that have the time, resources and desire to give them long, happy, healthy lives.
BTW, what type of dogs are they?

The mom is a chi wire hair terrior mix. The dad is a wire hair terroir mix.
A short story on the mom.
A another friend of myne had a litter gave these people one and now she has had four of her own
The mothers mother and father mom is a wire hair mix and dad is a full blodded chi.
The father of this litter is a wire hair terrior to be honest he might be a full blood. But he lives in the house also so he is pretty torn up hisself.
Animal control took all 5 dogs.
So the puppys are chi wire hair terrior mix

So those babies must be TINY, huh?!
Hang in there, it's going to be a lot of work, but they're in good hands.

Congratulations on the four beautiful babies, and thanks to you for stepping up for this dog when it's owners did not.
I commend Stephanie for stepping up to the plate I really do.
But you know I just can't agree to saying congratulations on the pups this is why the shelters are full of unwanted animals.
Who in their right mind would let a 6 mos old pup get bred boggles my mind. Obviously the same one who shows up at Stephanie's door drunk the next day to reclaim her dog that she obviously can't care of, looks like she can't even take care of herself.
It's just another unwanted litter stuck behind the 8 ball of life because of a irresponsible selfishly dumb pet owner.
Again not meant as a shot at Stephanie and her efforts. But the reality that lead Stephanie to be in the care of this dog and litter, makes me very upset.

Geoff
I understand what your saying.
But I am also more then happy to help anyone if I have the means.
All the pups will be soayed and nuetered befor going top a new home.
The main reason for that is my vet will do it for free and that makes sure there wont be any unwanted litters out of these pups.
They will be young but it needs to be done.
And the mother already has a home when she is done at in 12 weeks with these babys.
My sister is going to take her home already claimed her.
Thank goodness she is heartworm - so she can get spayed.
And go to her new home.
And as for the littlest girl the runt we are keeping her.
She wont be spayed as early as the rest.
I have named her miracle. And she will have a great life as long as she lives.
Mom is now on instince and will go on raw after we get her settled.
And she will get her babys back as soon as she is home hopefully she accepts them.
Again thank you for all the help.
My vet will give all the vet care they need for the first year of life.
For all four pups and mom.
She said she will also give heartguard for them a years worth.
For 20 bucks each I will be paying for that also
