I feel young now. Which is nice, because lately I've been feeling not so young. I think I felt not young the first time I sat on a bus and saw a kid with a Playstation Portable watching a movie. I mean, I remember when all we had was Gameboy, it was in black and white, and the only game was Tetris. And to that end I am also amazed at how small iPods have gotten. Hell, I remember in school when having a Walkman was cool.
SKY KING! How could I forget Sky King??!!! Saturday mornings, mom or dad wandering out to get coffee (ahemmm or something) with us kids sitting in front of the tv. Rolled eyes and asking 'don't you guys ever sleep?' (or something to that effect). Sky King...Yeah he was on just before my favorite cartoon, Krazy Kat.
What the hell was the name of the puppets who did the Nestle's commercials? Choooooclate. SNAP
LOL. That brings back some memories.
Ok how about Flintstones (when they were primetime evenings)...or when you went to a movie, you always got to see Roadrunner cartoon first......and of course Romper Room when she saw you in her magic mirror........
My, but I find this all very distracting. Farfel, he was a hand puppet and the other was a dummy (right?), I don't remember (to tell the truth) the dummy, only the dog 'n-e-s-t-l-e-s Chaaawlate'....SNAP! God, I hope thats not the last thing I think of when I die! Though I guess there are worse things. lol
News and then Loonie Toons before the first feature at the movies with an ocassional pair of crows filling in. Jeez, I can't remember those crows names which I think was also the name of the toon (nothing like having a good memory), but they mostly showed up at the drive-in. Usually it was Loonie toons though no matter what venue.
Nothing like remembering the innocent days of youth.
Of course, if we start remembering all the good shows on TV, we have to remember the treats, like cracker jacks when you really got a neat toy for the surprise in the box or the neat stuff you got in the cereal boxes, kids today just don't know what they missed!!!
Feeling old---I remember when the atari came out and playing frogger was so cool, after all we only had the tv ping pong game (don't remember what that was called....)
