sunny: my import puppy was the same way, I was told by this pup breeder that he needs time, I told him he needs a kick in the a$$$ for trying to get around that he sold me a nerve bag puppy, i'll never buy over seas again on my own, these people take advantage of american. unless your a know handler: "my advice" let known people help you with imported dogs, never go at it alone, that was money I just gave this man for nothing

All i wanna say is : there isn't one breeder out there in dog world who really cares about the person he sells or find dogs for. rinus is what i call a true gentlemen. and he has really good hard strong dogs. or he can find any bloodline you want....... i'll only buy dogs from rinus.
rinus thanks for a super pup and i'll be buying my next female from you....cisko is the kinda pup you wish for and my wish came true.....thanks again!!!!"
To the pup being a nerve bag?
When I see someone say how spectacular a pup is at a young age, then all of the sudden it is nervy, it leads me to believe there is something going on with the handling.
I don't think that relates to Sunny's case much at all...
Sunny, it is not too late to socialize the heck out of the dog. Try to make special trips every week, maybe one downtown on the weekend, outside malls, etc. The more you do the better your dog will be over time. Be reassuring but do not coddle the dog.
Add me to the number of people who have sent there money overseas(Belgium) and received a less than spectacular product in return. The pedigrees look nice but in the future I'll be picking my pup up in person and not trusting someone to pick one for me that will "meet my needs."

Socialization is very important. There are some pups that don't need it at all and others that are late maturers whereas the enviroment plays an affect on them...and then of course pups who are genetically fearful. In addition..ALOT depends on the bitch and how she treats the pups..and also if there are more aggressive pups in the litter..and how the litter is handled accordingly by the breeder.
