QUOTE: Robyne, lol she needs a dog to kill snakes...a snake got a baby chick. I actually have a great snake dog....but she is spayed. Our old farm dog...the one that got mauled by the coyote is a great snake dog. She corners them, stays out of reach and does a great bark and hold.
I never trained her....lol she can also trail a wounded dear through anything, over anything and anywhere...again...no training. END OF QUOTE
( : I know hehe .... i just made mention because it was in my mind that dogs need to be careful of rattler snakes.. and just saying be careful.
Your old farm dog... sounds to be incredible!!What a great story... thanks for sharing.
I've heard that racoons leave parts behind but that rats and snakes normally take everything away. Who knows is right - I sure don't! I did spread a thick layer of diatomeceus (sp) earth under the brooder so that if what ever it was came back on the floor - I might be able to figure it out.
