Conan loves his tug or this stupid rubber red devil thing that makes THE MOST AWFUL squeeze noise you have ever heard in your life. I've banned it except for when I really want his attention and boy does that thing sure get him to focus!
My pups like these treats best, or I should say I like these treats best because I get the best reaction from my pups. Cut up into small strips; BBQ'd steaks, chicken, salmon, and sliced salomie. They really enjoy: bacon, kosher hot dogs, carrots,bell peppers, apples, those little tiny treats we get here at leerburg (sorry, senior moment, can't remember the names) especially the peanut butter and molasses ones. they are easy to toss at the pups, or to dispense while healing.
I try and find new ones when I can. Always experimenting. They do love bowser brownies. (liver baked into cake form) but the are messy, so I don't use them much.
Bacon, kosher hot dogs, String cheese, cat food kibble, and whatever else we have leftover.
Mine also love apples and green beans, so I use those for variety sometimes.
When I really am looking for high level treat I use O. Meyer Braunschweiger (sp?) stuff in a tube. Used it once at an inside OB class and all the dogs had noses in the air and no focus, except for my dog but we won the relay game.

I know, I know I totally cheated, as a group we decided he was going to win and that treat was how we were going to get it to happen. It was all in good fun, this was the LAZIEST dog I've ever meet. A sit would take about 45 sec and he was working on it the whole time, not just blowing me off.
