I know I said that Connie, but its not that bad. It's actually much better now. Did you even read what I said? You don't know what you're talking about.

Yeah, that's my favorite. "It's really not that bad. The wounds are healing nicely. Maybe I made it sound worse than it is when I mentioned the seven E.R.-level bites. Plus I know my own breed and you don't. Plus I heard about this rude board and I should've listened. Plus you are all pooh-pooh heads and I'm going to go find the advice I wanted somewhere else."

I guess we all have our own reasons why we're here on this board as compared to the hundreds of others available on the web. I have noted however what appears to be a steady decline in the conversation lately. I'm not sure if people are just busy or if it's a normal ebb and flow of webtraffic. I really hope that this place continues to be a place for the exchange of ideas, opinions, and wanket references (or is it wafghan now?)
There will always be posters that paint a picture that makes our collective brains melt with how much they're doing wrong. Just as there will always be the guy who baits us along for a 14 page discussion of problems with puppies just to end it with the inevitable "your advice isn't what I wanted to hear. I'm gone." We are left with no resolution and no gratitude just the idea that some puppy somewhere may be suffering despite our best efforts. It sucks, but I hope people who invest this kind of time don't despair.
I guess my thought is that while we may get this from half the new posters on this board, the other half may stick around, learn something, teach something, or even present a new idea not considered before. So I guess this is my attempt at encouraging the conversation to go on, don't give up, the discussion matters so long as we still try to have one.

Me too, which is why I so badly wanted to help this guy and his pup....but at the same time try to set some polite boundaries.
You all know how much I LSGDs.......I would love to help this pair out.......they are great dogs if you do it right...just look at Eddie!!!!!
But I do get discouraged....and despair...I still think about the poor Anatolian pup...remember...the one that was taken from his flock and crated in an x pen while the BC was loose and could mess with it?
Sigh.
Now that I have unintentionally hijacked this poor man's thread...I hope he comes back and doesn't run for the hills....

If there was ever a post to cause dispair, to both animals and people, it was that one.
