They are ALOT tougher than they look, that's for sure. I read a factual account once of an IG killing a marauding coyote. After breaking up a scrap between our young male and a little dachshund once, I could believe it. They are as fast in a fight as they are on the run. Not surprised to hear about the squirrels and chickens. There's a lot of prey drive in most of these. Hardly any of them get to live the ideal life yours has, though, on a farm, Betty. Sounds like every dogs heaven.
A dog has alot of friends because he wags his tail instead of his mouth.
Im so glad she is ok, that is so very scary, especially with a treasured frosty muzzle.
I had no idea they were such tough little things, I have never known one personally so I always assumed they were as fragile as they look. There is one who goes running at the playground by our house in the evening. It is a joy to watch the little thing at full speed kicking up dust in his wake!!
