He also seems to not care what he's biting. Is that what this phrase means, Anne?
Quote: Anne Jones
She will bite & is not the least bit equipment orientated.
I think what Anne was getting at is the dog, when presented with a threat, does not care if the 'decoy' is wearing a bite suit or sleeve. Many sport dogs will ONLY bite a sleeve, or someone wearing a bite suit. They don't see equipment, they won't bite. It's all a game to them. Her female is a very serious dog, and will take on a threat regardless of a sleeve.
You won't know how Roger will act in a situation like that till you've got lots of protection/sport training into him.
My male Mal was the runt of his litter - being only 1/2 the size of the other pups. We thought he'd be small, too. His size was comparable to yours at about the same age. He's now 18 mos, is about 26" at the shoulder and tops out at about 52# and still growing. He just had another growth spurt the last couple of months gaining another inch and 5#. BTW, I had him neutered at 4 months and that hasn't seemed to affect anything. He also has a tremendous bite on him.
The positive side of his size is his agility and speed. My in-laws have a female who is huge - and she fumbles over everthing and sort of lumbers along.
