Oh my gosh... I don't even know what to say! Except - WHY??? Is this poor creature naturally bald/blind or is this some weird abnormality someone decided is cool and they are deliberately bred to be like this?

Al - thanks for posting the letter from the Mayor. I did sign the petition and left message on their facebook page as requested. Anything will help - hopefully.

I'm glad the animals were/are being rescued and that rescue groups were finally able to save the dogs at least.
But, while I agree that the consequences must be paid in some way including jail time, we should remember that hoarders are mentally ill and need help or they'll just repeat the behavior once they're out of jail. For the sake of the animals they may get in the future, it's important they receive (and have NO choice about)counciling along with any jail time.

All of us here should join or at least keep an eye on No Kill Nation and No Kill Revolution, Nathan Winograd's blog, and more importantly, find out about your local shelters' kill rate and practices. ASPCA and HSUS are the devil (and PETA) in disguise.
