Nick, if you are going to live with a Malinois, you are going to have to get used to the dog getting hurt... Toni is a walking accident. You are going to have to learn to treat some things yourself without running to the good folks here.
No kidding!!
Kipp is curretly limping due to his version of ultimate fetch. So we're following our normal limping dog routine - restrict all but basic activity and wait for improvement (lots of fun - especially when the other dogs aren't restricted ) If I don't see some improvement within 3 days call the vet. So far I've only taken him to the vet once out of a dozen or so limping dog episodes.

Haha, so true! My pup sliced her leg open (still don't know how, she didn't even flinch when it happened), and had to be put under general anaesthesia for debriding and stitches. Sure I was worried at the time, since you could see a tendon in the wound, but it wasn't the end of the world, and I stayed calm so as not to freak my dog out.
The only part that had me really freaked out was having to keep a healthy Mal pup "quiet" for a week.
If you freak out, the dog will read you and start to freak out as well. Stay calm and take deep breaths. You can break down after it's over if you have to.

Think this is very true with all dogs. Is there a pet first aid class offered near you, Nick? Might be good for you to attend...
I have had countless instances of "treat at home, wait and see, call the vet if things don't improve..."
