SchH style tracking is not some deep dark secret task to teach. It's tracking & it takes time to teach & time to perfect. Some dogs are better trackers then others...has nothing to do with whether they are Mals or GSDs. Both are equally good at it, if it's the right dog & trained properly.
What does that have to do with Mals, tracking or anything other than pointing out a young dog in training that needed to work on motion exercises. That is fairly normal for a young dog that does not yet have a BH yet, is it not?
I think Mals can do great at tracking. Some tend towards a bit hectic and need to be taught self control, but that is a training issue and not a breed issue. It certainly is not true of all Mals either...

Nothing, but it has everything to do with this:

The problem is that majority of responses are from people who have never titled GSD's and/or Mals in SchH tracking. If they did then the responses would be different...
Anybody who starts pointing others' limited experience should be prepared to answer questions about his own (or lack thereof).

We all have to work on our OB elements. What is so unusual about this video is the amount of stress such a young dog shows in these simple exercise (and through the whole video).
