stranger: Is that a timberwolf?
me: No.
stranger: OMG that's a pure timberwolf!
me: No he's a Dutch Shepherd.
stranger: That's a badass timberwolf, I saw some at this house where I was working, the people breed them but they weren't as big as yours.
Me: That's cool man, but I'm 100% sure he's a Dutch Shepherd, I know the entire kennel he came from.
stranger: What's a Dutch Shepherd?
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.

That's when you answer "It's a kind of timberwolf."
*random stranger* "That's a beautiful lab, how old is she?"
*I quietly ignore the comment thinking the question isn't directed at me*
*I turn around and the stranger asks again*
"That's a beautiful lab, how old is she?"
*I reply* "She is 1 yrs old, and she's a great dane, not a lab."
*stranger replies* "Oh no, she is definitly lab, she has a black coat like all the other ones I've seen."
True story.
When I got my first sable GSD one of the neighbors insisted that "You got scammed in that deal." He said anyone could tell it was an Akita.
Eh, I'm not a dog elitist. If people guess my dogs' breeds, or are being friendly and talking to me about my dogs, I don't think they are annoying if they don't know the breed.
, we get stopped in town lots. once I took Bridget to totem while grabbing wood, someone ran in and it seemed like half the store was outside, always lots of questions, mostly what do I feed them, and can I pet her
once with Pisa ( i use 9 in place of no) I verbaly corrected her, and a lady asked if she was a german rottweiler
