Chiropractor said she thinks its his body trying to adjust to the abrupt hormonal deficiency. If you think about it, all the glands in his body have to establish a new balance. That would explain the guards hairs falling out, lethargy, depression and clingy-ness...he's going through manopause

Is the chiropractor a DVM?
I don't mean to rush in with a bucket of cold water. I just think there are several potentially serious explanations, and that it needs to be a DVM call.
I don't know via scientific evidence that its all homonal what he is going through. SO I will continue to monitor him and if anything changes for the worse, call the vet.
She has no vet degree but she's very knowledgeable about all kinds of health issues. Her opinion often leads to interesting knowledge. Funny thing is that most vets are so pro-nueter that they won't even acknowledge any adverse effects of neutering.
We all know that when a human has a hysterectomy, there is a profound hormonal change, much more sudden and severe than normal menopause. The body has to adjust to the new chemistry. One of my best friends just had one due to cancer and she is going through a whole slew of health changes. I imagine that removing the gonads in a male would have a huge effect as well.

Knowledgeable about health issues, good. Challenges with removal of repro organs, yes.
Allowing a diagnosis by a a non-medical professional to distract from the medical issue .... not so good. Again, JMO! Just another POV.

Her opinion wasn't a diagnosis...she's probably is right but I'll continue to make sure he is ok and will consult a vet if he is not. It could be the antibiotic...hopefully the infection will be gone by his appointment next wed and he can go off of it.
