So sorry to hear this news Kelly. I hope Cat shows some improvement and wish all the best for Shyner. I'll keep your whole pack in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh poor you, Kelly it sounds as though you have two old dogs who are going to break your heart.
My only advice is pretty negative, I guess ------ don't let it go too long, don't let it be Sunday night and icy roads and deep snow and no one can get there to help you.
Also, many men, perhaps most men, if they have a partner who normally "takes care of things", remain in denial regarding failing health in their pets. It seems it is almost always the woman who makes the call, today is the day.
That is perhaps sexist or something but it is my experience.
I am thinking of you on this dark and gloomy day, my heart goes out to you.
I have the same heartfelt advice as Betty about not being caught with no help ("don't let it go too long, don't let it be Sunday night and icy roads and deep snow and no one can get there to help you") .... and just stand tall for their sake.
Thank you everyone for your support and heartfelt wishes. You have no idea how much you all mean to us!!!
Betty, I've known since the day I brought the girls home that they would break my heart some day... such is the nature of loving a dog...
As of tomorrow, Cat will be 2 weeks seizure free- again, knock on wood!! Her behavior has been normal, and I am hopeful that the Niacinamide caused the problems and since it's been removed she will be ok.
Shyner continues to be Shyner in every way... she barks at me when I am late with dinner and she is the first to meet us at the door when we come home. That can change in a heartbeat, but we are taking it for the blessing that it is.
I will keep you all updated as we make our way through this...
