My results were terrible, and the last one down was the cocker spaniel, a breed I actively loath (they're dumb as rocks more often than not now, they're boring and driveless compared to what I'm used to, they tend to stink, they have a coat I can't stand, I don't like the way they look, they have a variety of unpleasant health issues)
But they are so PRETTY and CUUUUTE. I mean, isn't that ALL that matters when selecting a dog?

Now, just for fun, I did the test again, this time deliberately slanting my answers to try to get the Doberman or GSD or any of the breeds I like in my top five. But I tell ya, this site is really pushing spaniels.
I'm slinking off to find a more favorable breed selection quiz.

Kuvasz
Portuguese Water Dog
Siberian Husky
Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Curly-Coated Retriever
Why no shepherd? I do love huskies tho.

I got
Chessi
Flat coated
Boxer
Kuvasz

I wonder if they have "eliminated" the supposedly aggressive breeds from their results?

I didn't end up with any of the dogs I expected either. Therefore, this test can't be valid.
Not one herding dog. Mine were Kuvasz, Curly Coated Retriever, Flat Coated Retriever, German Shorthair Pointer, and Golden Retriever.

I can't imagine why so many people are getting the Kuvasz in their results. Something seems fishy with this quiz!
I looked online and found several more of those tests. I did four of them. Two gave me the Golden Retriever as number one, one gave me the Border Collie as number one (both of those are breeds I actually like, BTW), and finally there was one that gave me the Doberman as number one (the breed I have owned for 25-plus years). That same test gave me the GSD as number three, a breed I would like to own someday.
Oh, well, I know these quizzes aren't rocket science, but taking them is a mildly entertaining way to pass the time, especially for those of us stuck in the coldest, snowiest winter in twenty years.

I was thinking the same thing. For fun there's another test that will tell you what kind of dog you are, I took it at work one night with coworkers and it was weirdly accurate. I don't remember the site, dogtopia maybe.

I find most Articles & Surveys like this one seem to either be "popularity contests" OR written by people who are NOT dog-savvy at all -- Here are my results:
#1 suggestion for me = Bullmastiff (after I checked the box saying I HATE DROOL, go figure)...
#2 = Dobie (OK we have TWO of them NOW)...
#3 = Kuvacz (?WTF?)...
#4 = Rottie (I'm neutral, but wouldn't buy one)...
#5 = Curly-Coated Retriever (I like them, IF they're not shy).
