Juhuuuuu, Becky! You can't imagine how much I envy you! 'm very happy with my dogs, but a puppy is so incredibly charming. If I could I'd start now with my a bit increased knowledge completely different. Not enough mangament was my greatest weakness. Main point :creating a great bond = center of all. Also mangement we can do with a whole lot of fun. I do love also marker training as long as it is like a game for the dogs.
Desperately waiting for a pict if you find the time.

Jim is a firm believer on waiting until he sees the personality of a pup, so I am going to let him start with the naming when it gets here. I am leaving the puppy picking to the breeder, she knows what we are looking for. I facetime with her tmrw after my anxiety group meeting.
I let Jim have the naming, since he is being so okay with a new fuzzball so soon. Can't wait to catch him snuggling when he thinks we are not looking, lol!
I can post a link from her fb site, or you can look up My Old English Sheepdogs on fb.
We were one person away from having to wait til next year, so this is our miracle pup. And on an even better note, the bugger down the road moved, abandoned the dogs, leaving them loose, so his brother stepped in, cleaned out the place, and when the male attacked his goldie, he shot the vicious thing. I am so happy I won't have to look behind me everywhere I go, or check my yard before I go out. The female was sent north to the owner. My winter is starting off wonderfully!

Facetime was a bust. I don't know how to use my Ipad, so used to the crappy blackberry, where everything is inbox, tried for half an hour, and gave up.
Maybe next tues, last anxiety group at that time, not that it is working either, doubt I will ever be comfortable driving in the dark or enjoy being around large amounts of people!
Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians! Hope you enjoyed your turkey day!!

And to clarify my prev post, I don't condone shooting dogs.. I have just been so stressed with the wild ones down the road, that I am happy he is gone. In a proper home, he wouldn't have been that way. I am not happy he was shot, I am happy he is not around to hurt anyone or anything else. Don't want to sound heartless!

No problem, Becky, we feel for you in that untenable situation -- I even know some human neighbors I wouldn't really mind seeing the last of either, ha! I understand that living with any kind of phobia is no laughing matter lots of times ... I also hate socializing with hordes of people, but that's mostly because I find so many of them to be insufferable, and simply prefer animal companions

I can only repeat what Candi said, Becky. Although i certainly wouldn't want to kill a dog, sometimes their is no other choice, people have to decide and act quickly. We can't re-train the dog of another owner and even worse, we can't train the owner himself.
