It's wrong to stereotype, no matter if you're talking about dogs, people of different races, or whatever. Stop and think before you open your mouth.
Kristen please.....give me a break. You most certainly can stereotype/generalize DOG breeds and the characteristics that go along with a particular breed (NOT PEOPLE!).
I agree with you Kristen that they can make excellent family pets in the right home. I already have 2 dogs -- if I didn't I would consider keeping the APBT.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Aaron, you should really find a local schutzhund club and take your lost friends to watch the little brown dogs do what they do best- kick butt. If your lucky, there might even be and rott there and you can ask them to compare the two dogs themselves.
If they're still fighting you, ask one of the mal owners to let them take a bite from their mal and consider your point proven.

WOW! I had no idea that this would get this crazy. I can assure you that I could care less about what color a person is. Although I do resent that after I made a generalization about many many pitbull owners, and I have met many many pitbull owners so I am qualified to make a generalization about them, that you would consider me racist. That sucks, please don't do it again. I harbor no ill will towards the breed, but do find these people to sound exactly like what was described in that post. I also know responsible owners but they are in the vast minority, and will always have to deal with this. Again, the racist thing was really out there and stupid.
I never said you were a racist nor did i say anyone was. Re-read the posts. Your sensitivity is getting in the way of your comprehension.
If you wanted to make a generalization about dog fighters or thugs, then go for it but making a generalization about pit bull owners in a negative way is cheating a lot of good people.

Will. I certainly was NOT referring to your dog, or dogs that have been trained in schutzhund or protection work, in my post when I said it was the ill-bred and abused dogs that turned into people-biters. I was referring to the scores of recent "pit bull" attacks that are keeping the presses hot. These dogs have not been trained to be able to discern when/who/how to bite; they have either been poorly bred or abused to make them mean. I am surprised that you did not gather that from what I said, especially since my reply was to that of the pit bull comment in the first place.
