For those who haven't seen it http://chienplus.com/wusv2005/video/VIDEO HELFER WUSV 2005.WMV
Its worth downloading... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
i haven't seen much shutzhund video in a long time. i believe the last video i saw was from the early 90's. is it just me, or has the frontal attack on the dog become much more aggressive? i dont remember the helper being so aggressive on the frontal attack...
"Do you think that because he is selected to do the helper work at the BSP he is automatically a good helper?"
No, I find it hard to believe because Helmut Huber and Bernd Kern said the helper work was good.
Were you over there this year to see it? If so, what did you think?
I was only there for 1 day and the helper work was very inconsistent during that day. I have seen shocking helpers at previous BSP and at the WUSV. If you get a chance to see the Dutch helpers from last years WUSV you will see 2 class helpers. Consisitency from day 1 and for every dog exactly the same work. The handlers and dogs could not have asked for fairer more equal work and that was the opinion of each and every competitor I spoke to. All I found personally at the BSP was that the positioning of the sleeve, the length of the escape , the time before a re attack was started was very inconsistent. At this level in Germany with the quality they have available that should not happen.
