I am not gonna get into the middle of this, in fact I'm gonna shut the thread down.
It is hard to give naswers in such situations because the variables are local cutom, individual K-9 capabilities, local legal environment, tactical capabilities and experience of the circumstance, command and control issues,
just to name a few.
US Lae Enforcment will be hesitant to answer due to the openness of the interrnet, the ability of litigious attorneys to search the net for comments on such boards and beat you over the head with them taken entirley out of context, and even due to constraints about comments perceived to refer to pending criminal and civil cases or even internal investigations.
