I stand corrected. I withdraw all of my criticism. You have the most docile, wonderful dogs of all, thanks to your superior expertise in cognizant communication with them. You SHOULD be exempt form all regulations and concerns that govern dog owners.

BTW, aren't those the same ladies that were in the same pics that you posted last year? That's at least two people that aren't intimidated by your horde.

I don't think anyone questioned their ability to be docile with humans, and to some extent, other dogs. What alarmed some of us here was the way they were allowed to bully visiting dogs on their territory, your indifference or inability to read the body language of said visitors, the overall lack of obedience and a recall, and your repeated off-leash ventures with them.

Many trainers are used to herders for this work, which can be very different than molossers.
Neos can not be worked like herders. Those that are, are often pushed too hard, and not balanced, which is where the mythical "bad rap" Neos initially got. You will hear many people parrot the "once you turn them on, you can't stop them" adage. Though this is silly and false, it is a danger with the wrong training.
To simplify it, most Neos have a good developed sense of defense of self, territory and pack. Though herders also have these drives, they often have a higher sense of prey, which allows resolve and vent or tensions in training with defense. Some trainers do not allow for this vent (which is even more important in defensive dogs) and often keep pushing the dog harder and harder. This build up can make a time bomb of a dog.

Obviously the words above are not mine but that of a trainer with specific knowledge about my breed and may go some way to explain the difference in reactions that are likely from owners of different breeds and why so many here have the opinions that they do.I do not work my dogs in this way but Neos are not generally a breed of attack but of defence and so make it ideally suited to train to be more tolerant than most dogs in situations where a GSD for example might go into prey mode.I am sure many neo owners would like to think they have a supreme attack dog base on its physicality but they actually don't they have a dog that is more disposed to be defensive in nature .

Please note how many dogs are offleash,(not mine lol) also note how despite mine all being leashed are not put on their leashes.This doesn't bother me but having mine all leashed and definately unmissable from even far away you can see no one really feels endangered to the point where they feel they should put their dogs on leash,it's their choice I suppose.
