I am relieved to know there wasn't a blood bath, fortunately I have 6ft fences all around the back garden, my lot ignore other dogs out off lead if we come across them, on their own territory I have no doubt the outcome would be very different, the big dogs would charge and tumble the strange dog, and given the government here are tabling a law to make out of control dogs to be seized if they are dangerous on private property - asinine I know - this could have big implications for any sort of incident similar to this one.
I had a lot of buffering when I was trying to watch this, was the other dogs owner hot on it's heels?

I do not know exactly how long the dog was in my garden or how it actually got to be in there.I have spent alot of money on fencing the whole of my grounds and you will note that while the dogs are roaming freely around the grounds the gates are bolted shut, also note it appeared the dog was out with 3 young children and not only off leash but infact had no leash.I get your assumptions of a blood bath but agree or disagree my dogs have been put in every imaginable sanario as the many videos show some of them .I know exactly how my dogs will react and how they can be controlled and lets be honest this would almost certainly resulted in a blood bath if a strange dog decided to come onto your property while the dogs were free.I am very glad my dogs did not attack the dog and pleased how easily I was able to control them.Yes I could have ushered them into the house and I actually did only once I had gained full control of my dogs less the stray choose to follow and nip at the heels of my dogs.I allowed one of my dogs to stay with me at all times for my own protection. My dogs are so used to other dogs in all sorts of states and I repeat my aim was to ensure the safety of the stray,I know my pack and that is why I chose to act the way I did and I did not not panic or scream and shout.
I have received valuable advice on this forum and have imlpimented some of that advice and I think improved the overall control of the dogs;a 4 dog sit stay and recall:
http://youtu.be/4qFycfEFqlA
An out of sight recall:
http://youtu.be/YhXxJt07iFY
I now leash my dogs when in areas frequented by dogs where I had pre3viously allowed them off leash:
http://youtu.be/M0sBrtefaek
And this happens all the time, infact more so since the dogs are leashed but still one command and the dogs are easily all controlled
http://youtu.be/3BR1NCr2SPY
I can only be responsible for my own dogs and if people choose to have their dogs offleash despite seeing my dogs leashed I am not going to argue but simply remain calm and move on.

" I did not not panic or scream and shout."
I would hope not. I would hope you would deal with it calmly rather than take video of a strange dog humping your dogs.
"you will note that while the dogs are roaming freely around the grounds the gates are bolted shut"
Little kids had their heads above the fence and arms dangling inside. A strange dog was inside.

Indeed and if you were to look the other side of the fence you would have seen their legs dangling as they had jumped up to look over .The fact that they I was able to record and control the dogs(again) shows my calmness and confidence and ability to control the situation. In order to erect a 7ft fence I would need permission from the local council which I am not likely to get.Personally I would like to have barbed wire along the top but that would be illegal in the UK ,the fences are at the maximum hieght allowed even I had to jump up to look over the fence.
No bad comments about my 4 dog sit stay and recall? After all it is members of this site that encouraged me to do more obedience with the dogs and this shows the results I have achieved so far things I perhaps could not have done without the training and trainer I paid to help me .

The fact that you were recording at all shows your continued disregard for being prepared for anything other than the best possible scenario. I don't carry pepper spray because I actually expect to encounter a problem that day. I carry it because it's a simple way of being prepared for a problem that MIGHT happen. Taking the time to calmly put your dogs inside instead of turning on your camera would have a simple way of preventing the possibility of a problem. Instead you decided to play with fire and post it here to show us how "wrong" we are about you and your dogs.
Your dogs can be absolute saints but you still have a strange dog that you don't know in the picture. Perhaps this dog has a sore spot and one of your dogs bumps it. Strange dog takes offense and nips at your dog. I know you believe that you would be able to control your pack reacting to that but that isn't a reasonable expectation.
Towards the end your dog was attempting to play with the strange dog. It was quite cheerfully ignoring your direction to stop messing with the other dog. If it ignores a simple direction like that how do you expect a request to not react to a strange dog snapping at or nipping it on it's own territory is going to go?
Quite frankly, most of the members of this website have stopped clicking the video links. They already know what they're going to see and that their advice to change anything is going to be rejected. So why bother? The only reason I made my original comment is because I didn't want somebody coming across your videos and thinking they contain good training because it's on Leerburg.

I feel sad that I've read most of these 32 pages. I think I've watched one of these video links and want back the time I wasted doing so. I wish there were some way to make this thread stop reappearing in the recent posts.

the skeptic in me guesses that dog didn't " jump " over the fence . . . . this is just another episode in the series of " my pack and their visitors " .
" look how much better my dogs are ! "
i think i detected a backhanded compliment to the members here so thanks for that andy , but if you want to make a statement with your dogs and training methods , set up a training session , get some other folks to run the camera , and actually document what you are doing to turn these beasts into the incredible animals you so obviously love .
andy , i think for most members here , their first reaction would have been to grab the intruder and politely , but firmly shown him the door , not grab a camera and video what happens . you never know , that recording might have been seized as evidence if things had gone bad .
personally , i won't click on the links 'cause i'm pretty sure i'm going to have to endure a bunch of disjointed , unedited POV footage of four large beasts and anything and everything else the camera happens to get pointed at . honestly andy , really tough to watch . the production value has not improved one iota since the first one you posted .
and yer right brian . . . you can't have the time back lol .

"if you were to look the other side of the fence you would have seen their legs dangling as they had jumped up to look over "
Then your containment for the off-leash pack IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
There's a strange dog inside. Your containment for the off-leash pack IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I don't CARE what you have to go through to make it so; you are obligated to do it! If you need to stand at the fence while the dogs are out, not allowing anyone to approach, YOU DO THAT. You DON'T have a camera in your hands while strange dogs enter (and you don't even know how that dog got in or how long that dog was there!) and little kids jump up to dangle over the fence and reach their arms down inside .... all while your pack is being humped BY A STRANGE DOG.
