Nice looking pup. Are you keeping her until January because of the new rules to import to Hawaii? It's great they have relaxed the restrictions, but I guess in order to meet all the requirements for the 5 day or less quarantine, the dog has to be at least 10 months old. Regardless, it's sure a lot better than the old 120 day quarantine.
Yes that is why.
But at least I get to see what this litter is all about.I really loved this litter , I don't think there was one I wouldn't have kept.
Right now I am working on getting my BH with Bandit this December.
Oh, that's very interesting! By any chance is the pup shipping to Hawaii going to Hank Lukela or Reny (don't know her last name) of the Aloha Schutzhund Club?
Angelique, best of luck with Bandit's BH!!! He sounds like a fun sport dog
Hahaha Jan!! I'm glad you picked her out like that. I agree, she has tons of potential. This baby is afraid of nothing and has crazy drives. Oh and apparently she taught herself the sitz and platz. I hope the rest of her training is that easy
Sarah, her ears are hilarious. They change from hour to hour... literally! And that tail... I'm surprised she hasn't tripped over it yet. Lol.
Hah. Sandy I'm way ahead of rubbing alcohol at this point!!
I just finished raising puppy Taro so the skin on my hands has strengthened considerably. Aja hasn't managed to draw blood there yet (ankles are a whole other story... Taro never went for those so I have no immunity!!)
I always observe my puppies for a few weeks to see if they'll consume non food items. If I determine that they only chew but don't swallow inedible crap, I allow them to have a stuffed toy.
Although strangely enough, Aja doesn't chew up Monkey-rumps there too badly. She prefers using him as a pillow (probably more comfortable than her water bowl, which is what she used to use as a head-rest )
Sefi!!! Another mal pup!! Brave man... you'd better post pictures of the baby.
I know you've already left on your mission, but I'll wish you another "good luck" anyway
Yuko - Aja is absolutely stunning and from the sounds of it she is intelligent and tenacious too. Bet she is going to make a really nice sport/working dog.
Angelique - big congrats to you on what looks like a fabulous litter. The female going to Hawaii is gorgeous. I am a big fan of the sables and she is just beautiful.
