Hi, my name is kevin and i was a trainer for 25yrs. I was interduce to the cc. some time ago and iam impriessed to say the least. I have owned sharpards, dobes, and rott. All of these excellent dogs have there pros and cons witch is related to the onwners of the breed. I have owned 2 cc now, the first was not a good pick of the litter.(bad nerves to say the least)however the rest of the litter came out very well. My new cc Dillion the nephew of my first cc is what in my opion what every ppd is looking for. High pray drive, very strong nerves. I have seen cc work ppd and schutzhund and have done very very well. I will admit that like the rottie the cc will take more time to train but it is will worth your time.
i have to say i am the proud owner of a cane corso and i fell in love instantly with this breed of dog, i haev had amstaffs all my life and figured it was time for a change. and my baby boy ace is the sweetest pupp ever, i have done extensive research on the breed for a few months now.
and kevin is right they may take more time to train but you can train them to do anything, rescue dog, seeing eye dog, protection dog, show dog the possabilities are endless with the cc..
Hello, had to comment as I have a 2yr old female. She is smart, sensitive, stubborn, affectionate, dominant, protective, good with cats/dogs, confident and very loving. I dont know enough about ppd to say if she would make the cut though I highly doubt it. Also she tires out quickly. We adore her and hope to get a male eventually too. Not for first time owners though it must be said. If you want a big lapdog that flings drool in your hair and dont mind being ignored when giving commands, getting nasty comments from ignorant people, constant asking what kind of dog you have etc. and a dog that chews through her crate like its corn flakes then consider a cane corso.
old age means realizing you will never own all the dogs you wanted to- unknown
Incase anyone is still looking and wants a great working corso look what Amore and Rivale have to offer. I finally got a girl out of Rivale and her training will start soon.
