the link deanna posted seems to work well w/a colony.
i was going to say i'd be careful of keeping them in a colony. having pet rabbits, and having worked w/a rabbit rescue - not all rabbits are just going to get along, and as someone else mentioned - rabbit fights can be shockingly bloody and violent. for herbivores, they can be really testy creatures. i've seen 15 second fights come away with skin just stripped right off, and i've known a guy who kept his pet rabbits in the yard, two neutered males, one intact....until the neutered males neutered the intact male one night. if you have the right disposition, keeping them in a colony could work, but like dogs, rabbits are pack animals, and there can easily be fights over rank.
i really think you'd have to judge the bunns you had whether you kept them separate or not. b/c with meat rabbits, i can't see taking the time to slowly introduce them for a bond/coliving situation.
