CONGRATS! What a fantastic looking pup. What did you name him?
Betty
I got a tire tonight. We live close to a private airport. Quiny is EXHAUSTED from playing and my sides hurt from laughing.
It was a rotten day up until the arrival of the tire.
No, we can't come up with a name. Betty clearly started him on the motivational recall. I just did about 10 reps with food and he comes flying in and smashes into you, perfect beginning. He's not only a tire biter he's also a butt biter, funny as hell. If the other pups are like him they won't be around long. Obedience is my favorite thing and it's going to be fun with this little moose!

Are all the pups placed?
The pics sure were cute.
Isn't it the most hysterical thing in the world watching them learn how to manipulate the tire?
Pepper was only a few months old when we stumbled on this tire thing. (Well actually she did, when I went over to my folks house to visit she would run in the hanger and grab one from the pile.) But somehow she would pick it up and carry it around. It would flip over her head and cover her eyes and she wouldn't slow down for nothing...
We still have Rat face left from this litter. He's a joker!
The title of this thread threw me, as I am not really in the "shopping for toys" department...but I am glad I clicked on it this morning! CUTE pups Betty and AL! You are the man...I'm happy for you and yours.
Oh, and sorry to hear about your other pup, but I know you'll take care of him nonetheless...
Have fun!

Yep, definately food motivated. Will also give you a visual and physical indication of just how PLEASED he is. Bring out a hot dog, his you know what comes out, walk to the kitchen, he follows with his you know what out. THINK about food and he plows into the room with his, well you know....LOL
Well, Al, was I lying when I told you he was all solid, not an ounce of fat on him? 3 months old guys and he weighed in at 40 lbs!
Seriously Al, I'm so happy you decided to get him. It just doesn't get any better then this as far as putting a pup in an outstanding home.
Definately a butt biter. My husband is still laughing about me coming in the house with the back of my shorts missing.......
One of my GSD pup's favorite outside toys is a small tire I bought at a pet supply store. What I like about it is that he chases and "herds" it when I roll it across the yard and avoids the sudden stops and starts that chasing a ball usually lead to. I figure that is better for his growing bones and joints. Plus, it is the ultimate chew toy!
