One of our ex-handlers used the finger in the mouth method. He learned it in the military. He was slow as molasses but had plenty of incentive to be quick when he did this. BTW, his dogs' out always sucked.
haha sure thing ed. I'm always thinking of you whilst on the training field so i'm sure I'll remember if that day ever comes lol. There is actually a gap in between the molars at the back of the mouth that feels safe.
Matthew, I somehow don't think he heard of gagging the dog then thought about using his finger to do the trick instead of the spoon. His dog outs quicker than most dogs i've seen and when talking to another person about that she said you've got to be quite hard on your dog to get such a quick out with the ball.
