Will you guys please take video if you meet up, I really want to see Wendy in the hockey gear being menacing!!
Have you thought about trying to get Neb to do the alert barking instead of Teagan? Since he is so vocal anyway but doesn't have the other aggression problems that Teagan does?

I did think of Neb doing it.
But....
Contender A:

vs
Contender B:

Which one would give you pause?
Besides, Teagan is already very watchful, forward, and confident in terms of people. Not that Neb isn't confident, he is, but he's confident in a breezy 'my life is great and everyone coos at me b/c I have a blue eye' kind of way whereas Teagan is confident in a 'I stare people and dogs down and it WORKS' kind of way.
I did do FR training with Neb for a while until financially it was a bit much($60 session, plus renting a car for the day, plus always brining wine b/c Neb kept peeing on the field) but it was more for fun and for me to learn about handling and us to work together than it was that I thought he was going to be good at it.

Edit reason: day....not idea. I swear I had no beers at lunch. Yikes.

My problem with videos is I can watch them, but I need someone to watch ME
Indeed. It's the same for pretty much everything that you DIY (do it yourself). With drumming, for example, you can teach yourself to rock out but the improper grip you might develop will lead to CTS or tendinitis in a few years...possibly bad enough to require surgery. A good teacher can easily spot the mistakes and correct them for you before they become a problem.
Also, wine for peeing on the field? Was that to pay off the helper or dilute the urine?

Exactly.
LOL, no, the wine was like a fine - at least in the SchH clubs I've been to, and FR training clubs/groups (I've been to a couple, including our training group which was a mix of disciplines), it's pretty common for there to be 'fines' levelled for dogs going on the field. Helps with the social aspect and all
Where we trained, wine for pee, beer for pooh. Neb was pretty young and while he never pooped on the field he peed on it I think every single time! Actually, I still owe Paul a bottle from the last time we were out there

Shhhh! That's the real reason I kept letting Neb pee on the field!
Anywho, we're getting off-topic

NO...we are establishing working ethics to decide if Teagan should or shouldn't be allowed to learn to alert bark with her Lector faceplate on to give you a moment to prepare for defense...correct?
Well, if she pees, you need to give Wendy wine. That has been past practice.
Now, do you want Teagan to bark alert at humans? Then, follow the practice of the "European" like professionals...wine is fine, but beer is for fear.
Beer for Teagan. On topic.

I've actually never heard Teagan bark with the muzzle on. Huh. I'm assuming she can since she can whine (dogs sighted) and drink with it.
It's actually something I thought as we progressed I'd have to practice - the alert bark inside, and outside, taking her muzzle off and then issuing the command (b/c it would be pretty meaningless w/the muzzle on, though the muzzle does scare people, even though, you know, she's muzzled. Mind you, she's smacked me in the eye with that thing on before and it can pack a punch).
I actually was planning to bribe Wendy with the booze of her choice
(And don't worry Wendy, I don't want Teagan to actually engage with anyone, so no muzzle smacking will occur!)
Teagan!
