I was kindof thinking when I posted my suggestion that you had probably already tried that... on your finger! SOmetimes this dog trainin' just ain't for the faint of heart or finger, huh?

The problem is that I am not willing to turn the e-collar up high enough to make the proper impression on him. Yes, I am a candybutt!!!! His marker training is excellent. Just has this one ism about him.
This says a lot. FWIW, I did a heavy correction on lil Huck Finn--warranted too, having to do with him ignoring me and looking at another dog. He turned to mushy jello before my eyes. I thought he was bro-ken for sure, and yes, he was for a bit, but I got him right back into the game and though it was work, he did it. He has a lot more focus on the field now, very attentive. Glances at another dog and back at me.
What to the pro ecollar trainers say? Up the voltage, huh? If it works for you to just put him up for four wheeling, that's ok too. It boils down with what you can or can't live with, right?
