Ok, clueless here, but I've been reading a lot in this forum and learning about the difference between showlines and worklines, and something I've noticed from the pictures, links...ect...
The working GSD is a much more attractive dog as a whole in my opinion...and their seems to be more of a variation in color, size, coat length ect. Is this because they are bred less for their appearance and more for ability to perform?
Forgive my ignorance, but this is really interesting to me...
P.S. Falcon is gorgeous! Does he come from a showline, Barbara??
while the forum can be pretty Jerry Springer like, the database is useful and educational.
Thank you! I think that might be an easier place to start looking around vs. looking at the kennel web page...the format isn't as distracting and I won't have a million windows open flipping back and forth.
I'm surrounded by this reminder. Amazing to watch and excellent clip, envy. I guess I was just in the wrong place on the wrong day to have the other 'things'. Maybe someday...
I'll post faster next time the bikini's come back.
Rotts are okay too. We got a few owner/admirers around here. Bet they could help you with sorting out 'those' peds.
Need to get out of a GSD thread though to get their attention.

Hi Janet,
Yes, Falcon is from a german showline. I agree, he is a good looking dog, however I can't take any credit for his appearance! I've really come to appreciate the look of the working line dog and if I had to do it again, I would not purchase a showline dog for many reasons. Even with the best training in the world, Falcon would not be able to do what that incredible dog in the video Randy posted does. It simply is not in his genes. (I know it irks some of the working line folks when Falcon gets complimented solely on his looks... I almost cringe. But thank you!)
