For the first year of my dog's life she wouldn't go anywhere near water refusing to even step in a puddle. The first year or so she "discovered" water she had a blast playing in it but sunk like a rock. Last Monday in class at the ripe old age of 2 years, 4 months old, she finally figured out how to swim. She's not very good at it but at least she didn't sink this time.

So we took the puppy out again today.....
she's now gone from "like a rock" to "uh, that's totally intentional" it would seem Ryuk has taught her to hold her breath underwater to chase fish....she caught one....
still no swimming yet though XD she's trying the poor thing...she's trying....
