....my dog likes to be hugged....which I find odd since dogs aren't supposed to like that. He'll scoot up close and put his head on your shoulder and sigh. If you hug him he'll wag his tail, if you don't let him go he'll doze off on your shoulder...it does seem to be specific to certain people but I always found it odd XD
The is the same dog that will only stand for vaccinations and a vet exam if NO ONE is holding him. I can keep hold of his collar or leash if they insist but he goes unheld at the vets for the most part. If a vet tech touches him on the table in a way to suggest they're going to hold them he barrel rolls and karate kicks out, the moment they let go he'll stand up again perfectly square, offer all four paws, his muzzle, let them feel him over....no problems.
Heh, I never thought about all "weird" dog behavior that we get to participate or have the pleasure of watching our "four-legged-children" do. These poor puppies "snort" have it better then we do I swear.
Ever have a dog that will wedge his head by your butt and try to somersault over? Finn does this. I cant seem to figure out why... or how.. he is even capable to be this flexable for a dog. Talk about yoga, this is Dog Yoga!!
I had to stop giving racquetballs to Nuke (pic below Right). When he wanted me to play catch with him, he would shoot the ball by squeezing it until it "popped" out of his mouth. Those balls had some zip on them. The problem was.... when I was standing he would approach, sit in front of me then shoot the ball right into my crotch. Ouch!
When Brodie comes in from the rain he heads straight for the leather couch and leans into it rubbing the entire length all the way round snorting and gruffing with a wild look in his eyes.
