I picked up a stray that had been hit by a car and had 2 broken legs. I opted to keep her and get her surgery, and the next thing I know, this forum had rallied around me and pulled together enough money to pay for the surgery. Sadly, the surgery, once started, was found to be impossible without severe quality of life implications. I chose to have her put down, yet everyone insisted that I still accept their contributions for the dog. I declined, but thats besides the point. This is the kind of people that we have here. I have never met anyone here in person, much less talked on the phone. I was amazed, and have now made it a point to give what I can when I can.
