Anybody else ever had the experience of getting a dog hair impaled in, say, your foot? I've had that happen numerous times. I'll be walking around and notice a sharp pain on the bottom of my foot. A close inspection reveals a dog hair that is stuck so deep into the skin it takes tweezers to get it out.
I had that happen so many times at my parents house(3 boxers and a boston) that I finally started just yanking my shoes and socks off at the first twinge. Those suckers hurt!
Thankfully with just Tanner the shedding isn't that bad. I do have to change into my school shirt right before I leave though. Navy blue and a fawn dog don't mix well.
When my ooldest daughter had a Rott she had a white tile floor in the kitchen. It was amazing how much hair that dog could drop. Her next dog was a white Pit. She bought a Purple couch. WHY?!?!
After years with terriers that I kept in a rolled coats (bi monthly stripping to keep then tidy) my two GSDs are outside dogs. My older short coated sable sheds all year long in addition to twice yearly. My coated dog only twice a year. Trash cans get filled often.

I have a black dog and white dogs, a white tiled floor and a purple couch, I'm doomed.
3 German Shepherds and I got a van with black carpet. Why? I guess it was in trade for the leather interior. I've since invested a bunch of $ in crates to keep the hair down and the dogs safer
I looked around my house the other day and realized everything I have is some shade of brown, with a little blue here and there. I tried to buy a new bedspread and everything has white on it. Don't people realize that 85# dogs like to sleep on the bed, too?
On a side note, my Vigo is a dark sable...he sheds undercoat of many, many colors. Brush him and it looks like you brushed ten different dogs lol
