I just finished it! No spoilers, I promise. I started it Saturday evening, and I could have finished it that night, but after getting halfway through, I realized I did not want to be up reading until midnight or so, then finding myself in the position of having to turn the lights off and try to go to sleep.
What a frightening experience you went through, and what a captivating and scary read! I admit I am a person who looks at the world from a scientific perspective, but I'll be the first to say that we have yet to discover all the mysteries of the universe, and sometimes people go through things that are simply unexplainable.

Thanks Cheri! And what you said about the scientific approach is applicable to me as well. It was part of why it was such a difficult and traumatic situation; I was experiencing all of that, while at the same time the predominant, logical part of my mind was saying ", No, no ,no...this can't be happening, this ISN'T happening..." but it was and not only could I not stop it, I had no way of understanding it either.
That's why I don't get angry at skeptics when they are dismissive of the story. The only difference between me and them is that I no longer have the choice to be skeptical

Well I picked the book up after this mornings DW, and finished it about ten minutes ago: D
I really enjoyed it, I always gravitate toward true stories, and ‘A Connecticut Haunting' is one of my favourite films.
I am very open minded about this sort of phenomenon, many of my immediate family have 'something' within themselves that have put the hairs on the back of my neck up; positive and negative energy exists in houses, I'm sure of it.
One thing I wondered Kristel, did you and your family ever give any consideration to paranormal investigations that could have documented the activity?
