You need to * catch* this and stop it before ** he gets started **. With the above responce or something similar. Let him know that rough play is Ok, but real aggression will not be tolerated.
You have done right to get invovle, and take control this situation. If you are having a problem telling when he is getting too rough stop it, (revised for clarity) before it starts right now. Gradually let them play until its comforatble for both.
This thread is getting old. If any one has questions on raising multiple dogs in a home, Ed has great articles on the subject on this site. Many people push the issue with different numbers and combinations of sexes of dogs living together in the home and most of these people are pushing there luck IMO. Thread closed.
