I think that the test Stig is talking about is not a test for service dogs. It is more of a global test for basic working temperaent. Think more of a breed worthiness, rather than a specific test for a PSD candidates.

LC: Stig started his comments by mentioning the test that Kevin Sheldahl uses to select PSD’s. He asked, “. . . is this how the police in the US normally test policedog candidates?”
I posted my test to show him that Kevin’s is not the only test that used by police in the US when searching for candidates.
My test will give you a good Personal Protection dog or PSD but probably not a good sport dog.
