It's usually the first question out of their mouths or they just automatically assume it and call her that.

At least if it had been a smooth. I've had two people a few years apart who were adopted dogs which were obviously smooth collies. Each were told by their vets what the dog was. One was a german shepard, not even German Shepherd Dog; the other was an English retriever. I'd never heard of that breed before. Both were tricolors with typical collie white markings.
