I am heart-broken, Donut passed away a few minutes ago. At least he died with his family by his side. He didn't suffer and that is a blessing.I will certainly miss my clown prince, Donut could make me laugh just with that silly grin. He will live on in my memories of how sweet, loving and tenacious a young pup should be.
Ava is better but not out of the woods. She is pacing in her cage. The vet wants to keep her for a couple more days. To rule out any organ damage.
I would like to thank everyone on this board for their support and prayers. I can't express how helpful you have been to me.
im so sorry to hear that this has happened to you tracy, ava seemed to be a strong willed dog and she will be ok, i have faith. i know that you awaited your donuts arrival enthusiastically and spent a lot of time with him while he was young.
anyone on the board that is interested in helping tracy with his situation please PM me, i would like to personally.

Oh, Tracy, I'm so very sorry. Thank God there was a vet available last night and Donut didn't have to suffer. You are right: You will never forget him. I'll be thinking about Ava and wishing her the fastest recovery possible.

Will do, Travis. Hang in there, Tracy, for Ava. I can only imagine your heartache.
The good you can find in this situation is this...you have Ava, she has a chance of pulling through. Donut is in a better place, you can be happy and proud of his short life and know that you loved and treated him very well.
I am so sorry..but very happy that Ava made it through the night. God willing she'll be home soon!
Now that I 've calm down and have had time to get all the facts. I would like to update this post. Ava and Donut were accidentlly poisoned. I had some friends over earlier working our dogs. I left Donut in the house uncrated, because he was housebroken and would use the doggie door to the front yard. A friend left her baclofen on the counter(she called Sunday night) looking for it. I believe Donut stole it and took it outside to play with it. When we finished with the older dogs, I was put Donut in the back yard so I could feed Ava. While I took donut to the vet I thought it was a snake bite because he looked fine and 15 to 20 minutes later he was laying down barking. Ava went out in the front yard while I was at the vets and must have ate a couple of them. I had been at the vets 30 or so minutes and my Uncle and couisin brought Ava.

Thank you for the update. I know many have been sharing your heartache. It's a relief (although it may not seem much help at the moment) that it was a tragic accident and nothing more sinister. I hope Ava is doing well.
Oh Tracy I am so sorry for your loss. At least you know what happened and in heart you know someone didnt intentionlly posion them. I am so glad that ava is doing better and I know she will pull through. Keep us posted.
