i have a 9 month old female pomeranian and also a two year old male. The female went into heat for the 1st time 5 days ago. The kids didnt understand the importance of keeping them apart and they may have bred. What are the chances that she would get pregnant that early into the heat (was 3 days into it)? I am not even sure how to tell if they actually did, the male's stomach was wet and sticky and the female had some on her but not a lot. She is 4 pounds and the male is 7 1/2 pounds. What would be her chances of carrying puppies if she were bred now?

Course the kids didn't understand, and your bitch will get pregnant later if she isn't already. Breeding is something we ADULTS understand, and if our household doesn't allow responsible breeding there are many things we can do:
Neuter the male
Spay the female
Re-home the male for the next month
Re-home the female for the next month
