Lindsay have you thought about a Bouvier? There is a growing contingent of them in Ring now. I know you like Molloser type dogs and a Bouv is pretty substancial though long legged. The long legs will help them over the jumps where I think a Cane Corso or other mastiff type dogs would have a hard time especially on the palisade and long jump.

I don't mind a bovier, but I really like doberman. I found a breeder in Germany that have two dobies with FR I titles. I m wondering if anyone knows who is Anastasia Germania Fr I
Stasi was owned by Holly Mailander, who lives in Northern CA now. She was a VERY nice female, earned her FRI and trialed at FRII. She also trialed in MondioRing, there is video online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1QJkcuq7jw . Unfortunately, she's dead now.
We have 2 Dobes in our Ring club they are both young dogs 6-7 months. But they are already showing great promise, with both obedience and the bite work. They are still on tugs doing confidence building exercises but both are driven enough to do the work. I really like both dogs. Not as fast as a Mal but a lot more agile from what I see than the GSDs in the club. Young Doberman doing Ring bite training
