Well, either the guy is really making a serious effort to correct his staff problems (hard when the offending staffer is your daughter), or he is trying to placate you and avoid a lawsuit (or a little of both)
So...how is your dog coming along? And what will you do?
(I think you ought to shoot for part-ownership of the business! )

I know I was the one that said do it, but I would not use my dog. I would want her to completely forget that place exsisted. Now with that said I think I would do it, but I would have to take alot of time to prepare. The more I think about what they did to your dog and why I worry that she is scared or intemidated by big dogs. We have a vet here in my town that is scared of big dogs he would not tell you this its just that if you go in with any problem with a big dog his reply is put it down. The reason I say this it sounds like some crap he would do.
They are useing the dog as a confedence boust for themselves.
I have to admit I am not a good judge I hate most small dog owners.
Ok, talk about funny. I got a call this morning from the owner asking me if I would come out to do a demo on OB work for his staff and to discuss proper handling techniques.
Wonderful!
Can you take two or three dogs so they get a better perspective on different personalities?
Charge them a hefty fee, too.
I have contacted a friend of mine who has a SCH II dog (We have trained together a lot, usually one of us will have our dog in a platz while the other is working, then switch. Great for building drive and motivation while watching another dog play!) The only way I consider it is for them to come to ME on my home turf so to speak. I may use my dog, simply to show them what she actually is like, but that will depend on how she is. There is another pup that I am working with for another 4 months that I will bring as well. that makes 2 (3 if I bring Kavik) From an OB standpoint, Kavik would be the best to demonstrate that as she is truly fun to watch work. She has that Boxer enthusiasm that is funny and serious at the same time... that will depend on where she is at the day we do this.
Update on her... she has definitely made progress. Ball on string was engaged this morning and she even started growling playing tug We are going to do some heel work tonight on the beach after it cools down some. Will see how that goes!

I think this thread has given me high blood pressure, LOL.
As a dog trainer you probably already know to emphasize "handling" techniques over "training" techniques. These people need to know the difference, how to handle without training, why not to train, and of course the daughter needs to be fired.
I *think* the daughter was asked to step down from the kennel... They have closed down temporarily for the next week, calls still welcome... If she is not there there wasn't anyone to handle daily operations. This is a really interesting event lol.
