Sure,,go ahead and rub it in.
I'll throw this out....anyone that can obtain a license here in SD is more than welcome to take a trip out and hunt with us. Pick your poison and go for it people.
We have plenty of room, I love to cook and we love to take people out.
The only cost to anyone (besides traveling to get here, and your license) is hiding for one of my live find dogs at some point during your trip. If you cannot bring a weapon due to flying, we will have one here for you.
Watch out now, be careful what you ask for. I haven't hunted in years, but I was stationed at Ellsworth when I was involved in hunting. A good pheasant hunt would suit me just fine. Hiding for you would give me an opportunity to take a quick nap. haha

HAHAHAHA....well, maybe on the eastern part of the state.
I am psyched for pheasant season. The dogs LOVE the carcasses. We take the breasts and the dogs get the rest.
Actually, I am excited for all of it.

You need to keep the feathers and sell them to the fly fisherman.

It is so nice up there...
I lived up there from 1998 - 2005.
The area I lived in seemed like a different time era. When I was in school, hunting season was marked by all the rifles in the office - students who hunted usually had their rifle with them all the time, and the school had a check in for rifles. No lock or anything, just piled up in the corner of the front office.
Wow!
And exactly where were you living?! I grew up in Maine and graduated from HS in '79, but the only rifles I saw were on my Dad's gun rack. (but I grew up in southern Maine, close to a 'big' city...)
I lived in Camden, right near Rockland.
The school district was for 5 towns: Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville, Appleton, Hope. The first two towns were mostly yuppy type kids, but the other three were fairly hardcore hunting areas.
Lynne - you ever been to/heard of this store?

There were some kids at my HS that got their prom dresses there. That store is a classic!

Before the days it became a tour stop (bus's and all the wonderful money that comes with them) Elmer's Barn was the place to visit if one happen to be in the area. I can remember the days of wandering that place for half days without seeing or meeting anyone! Without looking at the same thing twice or pausing for much contemplation! Bring lunch! It was the place one could find anything, honest to god, from an old cast iron radiator to a first printing of 'Through the Looking Glass' and at the same time find that boa you needed for the next 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'! At prices that didn't require a check book or a piece of plastic.
Some time in the late 80's I understand it was taken over by someone else, and I'm not real sure if it was a son or if it was sold outright.......but the whole atmosphere changed. Well, one can only ever go home again in the mind. Now it's a tourist stop, tour buses and all.
