.... the second one, even though he posted in toronto, is actually in london, and i'm not driving to london to get a freezer (with much love to london)
OK, this took me a minute. There's a London is CANADA!
LOL! I actually just hooted at my desk
...yes, the one in England would be a looong (and exciting!) drive!
(actually, my best friend went to work in london (ontario) after graduating, and then moved straight to london (england). we all laughed, the size is a wee bit different)
rich, that's good to know. i know costco has a lot of bulk stuff, but i'm not a very good bulk buyer. i always forget i have stuff. not married, but you're saying i'd have to keep toby away? heh. i might talk to toby and my brother to see if there's interest between all of us.
C'mon Jenn! Everyone knows the ride from Toronto to Hamilton is WAY easier than the ride from Hamilton to Toronto! I have a new co-worker coming in from Toronto (driving) and she leaves at 7:10am and gets to West Hamilton/Dundas by 8am. I don't know how she does it.
Ha! I'm used to Hamilton taking 45 minutes to an hour, tops (go out to hike and also do Around the Bay every year). The problem might have been that I left Toronto around 4.15 pm....but still! How do people do that everyday!!! At least your co-worker is going against traffic for the most part.
Again, with the QEW (The Queen Elizabeth Way) you just never know.
The QEW is a huge artery that is actually the busiest highway in North America. A little bit of bad weather, an accident and you could be stuck for a LONG time.
The corridor between North Toronto and Niagara Falls can be just brutal.
I used to commute from central Toronto (Bloor/Ossington, or Dufferin area) to Mississauga - I don't have a car, so I'd take transit, which was brutal, but always being able to get a seat going opposite traffic was amazing Actually, that was about the only compensation for working in Mississauga
