What always annoys me that people like him can get off with kiddy-fiddling, dog fighting, animal abuse, can kill people by driving drunk, run around with guns, glorify gang violence.
These are the people who children see as role models!!
Is it any wonder society has gone to hell?

You all can think what you want of him. He is GONE & the accusations of what he did or did not do is no longer an issue. HE IS DEAD! NONE of US know what really happened. BTW..since when does having an addiction mean that you are a mollester of children or others? That is quite a leap! I know people that have had addiction problems, but none of them have mollested ANYONE. I feel very sorry for those children. If there is or isn't truth to the accusation....can you at least consider those poor children & what all this is doing to them. Now that they are no longer kept in the cocoon that they have grown up in, they will be exposed to all of this. For god's sake, this man was the father of these children, good bad or otherwise. Just imagine if you were a child hearing all this said about your father. It can destroy these innocent children that have done nothing but love their father. Very Sad. Everyone, including the meada needs to end all of this for the sake of these children.

It's all quite a leap. Tabloids aren't worth the paper they're printed on, but unfortunately they seem to go a long way toward "educating" the general public. The information doesn't have to be correct, just sensational and accusatory. And hey, if you can find a way to blame an individual for society's shortcoming, well hey..bonus, right? That means we can toss around blame and not do anything about our own behavior...scape-goat, anyone? Come on, it's fun to verbally abuse dead folks, right? And what a wonderful opportunity to do so. Classy....
If anyone knows any REAL information about pedophiles (Anyone? Or are we really just having an ugly exchange based on nothing but media-driven conjecture and possibly a cliche about ducks?) then you know they sure as hell aren't building amusement parks, talking about how much they love children, being openly affectionate with same and having sleep-overs. It's absurd. These creeps are secretive and do everything they can to stay under the radar. They aren't advertising.
I love how public opinion can try, convict and hang somebody based on what amounts to unfounded rumor, no matter the reality. Perhaps lynch mobs will always exist in one form or another. So much for evolution.
Thank God I'm a nobody, that's all I can say.

I would like to go back to this post, as well as to remember another brave person (Farrah Fawcett) who died on the day that Michael Jackson did.
He was a talented individual, but a troubled one also.
My biggest complaint is that a real American Hero ( that's *Hero* with a big "H" ) died the same week - and you barely heard about him. But MJ's death is on 24/7. If that doesn't show the screwed up priorities of the Media, I don't know what does.
So, if I may:
A tribute to Marine Col. Ed McMahon, a *real* American Hero

May he rest in peace, he earned it!

Agreed, Farrah, kinda got lost in all the hoopla about MJ. Ed, too. Goes to show how much MORE the media picks up on all the NEGATIVE rather than the POSSITIVE aspects of all of the celeb's lives. SAD!

A lot of people don't realize that when Farah reached the pearly gates St. Peter welcomed her with open arms. In fact he was so impressed with the impression she left on people on earth he said she could have one wish for the benefit of those remaining on Earth. Ms Fawcett merely asked that all the children of the world remain safe. Well, you know the rest.

As a future soldier, I understand the importance of acknowledging our fallen Heroes.
But I can say I am disgusted that people simply are willing to believe someone is a child molester based solely on the press and there was no criminal conviction for it.
